Polar Fleece

POLAR FLEECE

Polar Fleece

is a fabric that is woven on a large circular knitting machine. After weaving, the fabric undergoes various processing techniques such as dyeing, brushing, carding, shearing, and napping. The front side of the fabric is brushed, resulting in a dense and fluffy texture that is resistant to shedding and pilling. The back side of the fabric is sparsely brushed, ensuring a good balance of fluffiness and elasticity.

Polar fleece is generally made from 100% polyester. It can be further classified into filament fleece, spun fleece, and micro-polar fleece based on the specifications of the polyester fiber. Short fiber polar fleece is slightly more expensive than filament polar fleece, and micro-polar fleece has the best quality and highest price.

Polar fleece can also be laminated with other fabrics to enhance its insulation properties. For example, it can be combined with other polar fleece fabrics, denim fabric, sherpa fleece, mesh fabric with a waterproof and breathable membrane, and more.

There are fabrics made with polar fleece on both sides based on customer demand. These include composite polar fleece and double-sided polar fleece. Composite polar fleece is processed by a bonding machine that combines two kinds of polar fleece, either of the same or different qualities. Double-sided polar fleece is processed by a machine that creates fleece on both sides. Generally, composite polar fleece is more expensive.

Additionally, polar fleece comes in solid colors and prints. Solid polar fleece can be further classified into yarn-dyed (cationic) fleece, embossed polar fleece, jacquard polar fleece, and others based on customer requirements. Printed polar fleece offers a wide range of patterns, including penetrating prints, rubber prints, transfer prints, and multi-color stripe prints, with over 200 different options available. These fabrics feature unique and vibrant patterns with a natural flow. The weight of polar fleece typically ranges from 150g to 320g per square meter. Due to its warmth and comfort, polar fleece is commonly used for making hats, sweatshirts, pajamas, and baby rompers. We also provide certifications such as Oeko-tex and recycled polyester upon customer request.
