Interlock
fabric, also known as double-knit fabric, is a versatile textile characterized by its interlocking knit structure. This fabric is created by intertwining two layers of knit fabric on a machine, with the horizontal knit of each layer interlocking with the vertical knit of the other layer. This interlocking construction gives the fabric enhanced stability and strength.

The composition of Interlock fabric for active wear normally could be polyester or nylon, sometime with spandex. The addition of spandex improve the fabric its stretch and recovery properties, ensuring a comfortable fit.
To further enhance the performance of Interlock fabric, various finishes can be applied. These include dehairing ,dulling ,silicon wash ,brush ,mercerizing and anti-pilling treatments. Moreover, the fabric can be treated with additives or utilize special yarns to achieve specific effects, such as UV protection, moisture-wicking, and antibacterial properties.
